ANCHOR KOBE

ANCHOR KOBE is a co-creation hub where startups, large enterprises, SMEs, universities, students, and local governments join as members to pursue innovation and business growth through interaction. Located on the 15th floor of the Hankyu Kobe Sannomiya station building, it was opened by Kobe City and is operated by Kobe Shimbun and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC. Under the concept "Let my thinking run," it supports bold ideas and collaboration among its 280 members (as of January 2024).

Kobe University City Industry-Government-Academia Platform (KCC)

The Kobe University City Industry-Government-Academia Platform (KCC) brings together universities, companies, and government bodies in Kobe to advance collaborative projects that help recruit talent, develop and retain people, and contribute to the community in order to solve diverse regional issues. It also operates the KOBE Co CREATION CENTER in central Sannomiya as a collaboration base.

Osaka Innovation Hub

Established by the City of Osaka's Economic Strategy Bureau, Osaka Innovation Hub is a base where entrepreneurs and engineers aiming for the world gather. It runs events and programs that support business creation, scaling, community building, and the commercialization of business plans.

Osaka Startup Ecosystem Consortium

The Osaka Startup Ecosystem Consortium promotes activities that generate globally active startups through collaboration among companies, universities, government agencies, and support organizations.

Kansai Innovation Initiative (KSII)

Kansai Innovation Initiative (KSII) was adopted in September 2020 for METI's J-NEXUS program. Leveraging diverse university technologies and cross-university networks in the Kansai area, it works to build a university-driven startup ecosystem and create zebra companies that solve social issues through sustainable growth.

Kigyo Plaza Hyogo

Kigyo Plaza Hyogo was created to support people interested in entrepreneurship and those who have just started businesses. In addition to office space, it offers expert advice, seminars, and communities tailored to each stage so members receive strong support for their ambitions.

Kyoto Startup Ecosystem Promotion Council

This consortium of government bodies, economic organizations, industrial support agencies, universities, and financial institutions works across Kyoto to nurture entrepreneurs and further advance the startup ecosystem. Forty-two organizations participated as of December 2023.

Kyoto Research Park

Opened in 1989 as Japan's first privately operated science park, Kyoto Research Park hosts 520 organizations and 6,000 people, including Kyoto Prefecture and City industrial support institutions. It offers offices, labs, and conference facilities alongside startup acceleration, open innovation support, seminars, and networking events that spark new businesses and industries.

QUINTBRIDGE

QUINTBRIDGE is an open innovation facility run by NTT West Japan where companies, startups, municipalities, and universities interact freely, share their aspirations and assets, co-create, and aim for real-world implementation.

QUESTION

QUESTION is a co-creation facility run by Kyoto Shinkin Bank where people from many fields gather to tackle questions that cannot be solved alone. It provides spaces for dialogue and community managers who leverage local networks to collaborate with pioneers from diverse genres to solve challenges.

Creative Network Center Osaka MEBIC

Creative Network Center Osaka MEBIC is a creative industry promotion facility established by the Osaka City Economic Strategy Bureau and operated by the Osaka Business Development Agency. It fosters communities where creators build face-to-face relationships with one another and with companies, encouraging competition and collaboration that lead to new businesses and value.

KOIN (Kyoto Open Innovation Network)

KOIN (Kyoto Open Innovation Network) is a co-creation space operated by Kyoto Wisdom Industry Creation Forest, where government and business work together to advance Kyoto's economy. The knowledge, technology, and networks that gather at KOIN empower people taking on new challenges.

5.6 is a members-only community space where startups, technology, and art intersect and elevate one another. It explores well-being and community while providing environments, events, and programs that nurture creators.

Global Financial City OSAKA

Global Financial City OSAKA unites Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City, business communities, and related organizations to leverage the region's strengths and realize an international financial city with its own character. By strengthening financial functions - the lifeblood of the economy - it attracts investment from inside and outside Japan and drives new growth for the Osaka-Kansai economy.

Sakai New Business Creation Center (S-Cube)

The Sakai New Business Creation Center (S-Cube) offers spaces that support a variety of entrepreneurial efforts, from would-be founders to companies in Sakai and southern Osaka pursuing second startups, firms entering the city, advanced manufacturing through academia-industry collaboration, and startup communities.

JAM BASE

JAM BASE is a core facility of Grand Green Osaka where diverse people gather and interact to generate ideas and innovation. It helps companies, universities and research institutions, startups, and venture capital turn ideas into reality and pursue social implementation and commercialization, with public and private partners promoting activities together.

StartupSide

StartupSide operates incubation facilities that walk alongside entrepreneurs. With locations in Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Nagoya, and Moriya, it provides 24/7 private offices, coworking spaces, and meeting rooms as well as rich business support services such as matchmaking, events, startup and management consultations, and creator assistance.

Soft Industry Plaza TEQS

Soft Industry Plaza TEQS is a support hub for businesses that leverage advanced technology. Through the 5G X LAB OSAKA open lab it offers support to create businesses via acceleration programs, nurture them through incubation facilities, and conduct proof-of-concept projects across the Sakishima area, providing end-to-end assistance from development to validation.

Blooming Camp

Blooming Camp is an open innovation facility operated by Sakura Internet Inc. in the Grand Green Osaka area of Umekita Phase 2. Guided by the philosophy of turning "what you want to do" into "what you can do," it creates physical and online spaces and opportunities where diverse people connect and spark innovation.

Monodzukuri Business Center Osaka (MOBIO)

Monodzukuri Business Center Osaka (MOBIO) is a comprehensive support base for manufacturing SMEs in Osaka Prefecture. It features one of Japan's largest permanent exhibitions and provides business matching, sales channel development, academia-industry collaboration, intellectual property support, seminars, and workshops.
